Welcome!
I am a professional sharpener specializing in knives, scissors and other edged hand tools. I take great care with my process to produce consistent results that maximize the stability and cutting life of an edge. Let me sharpen your favorite knife for you, and see what I mean!
What I do
At my shop here at the west end of Rimrock, I repair tips, nicks, re-profile or thin, sharpen, de-rust and polish to a wide range of finishes. I can do this on anything from tiny pairs of scissors to large axes and machetes. Just ask!
-
All kitchen cutlery, any size including serrated, $10/ea. Pocket/Folding knives, $15/ea (includes cleaning and lubrication).
All scissors up to 8”, $15
For sizes larger or much smaller, or in larger quantities, please contact me. -
For older or damaged blades I can very often recover and restore them to utility. Depending on the blade I can use non-destructive corrosion removal techniques, re-surfacing and polishing techniques to return it to useability and preserve it. This is best done prior to sharpening.
-
Knife handles get damaged. If it’s a knife you love, I may be able to help. This is a custom service on a per-knife basis where we would discuss together what needs to be done before any work is performed.
More about me
I have a passion for sharpening and restoring knives that appear lost to age or misuse. I developed these skills over a number of years because every knife I had become dull, and there were no sharpeners nearby during those times. Today, I have available many ways to produce a razor-sharp cutting edge.
Beyond knives and scissors, I can also sharpen grooming shears, hand tools, axes, machetes, hunting knives, pruners and loppers, lawnmower blades (with balancing), and many others.
I’m located at 6427 Signal Peak Ave in Billings, Montana.
